Best Graphics Cards for Ryzen 5 3600

The AMD Ryzen 5 3600 is a great processor, but it needs the right graphics card to go with it. When picking the best GPU for your system, you need to think about what type of games you play and how intensive they are on your computer. Do you want or need 4K capability? What resolution do you prefer? Is price an issue when selecting a new graphics card? These are all important questions that will help determine which one is best for your gaming needs!

Graphics cards are one of the most important components in a gaming PC

Graphics cards are one of the most important components in a gaming PC. Graphics card is responsible for displaying all graphical output on your monitor or TV screen, so it’s no surprise that graphics cards have been consistently evolving to meet the increasing demands from gamers and developers alike. What may be surprising though, is just how much more powerful these graphics cards have become in recent years.

The first graphics card, the Nvidia GeForce 256, was released to the public back in 1999 and cost a whopping $200 per unit. But as demand for gaming PCs steadily increased over time, so did prices of these high-performance components—a trend that continues today with GPUs from companies like Nvidia and AMD costing upwards of $500 and even $1000.

But recently, graphics cards have become a lot more affordable with the release of budget-friendly models that make it possible to play most games at 1080p resolution on max settings without breaking the bank. This is great for gamers who want to avoid spending their entire paycheck on hardware—or those who want to give their old PC a shot in the arm.

The AMD Ryzen 5 3600 is a great CPU for 1080p and 1440p gaming on medium to high settings

The AMD Ryzen 3600 is a great CPU for 1080p and 1440p gaming on medium to high settings. It has six cores with 12 threads, which offer increased performance when playing video games because of the increase in core count without sacrificing clock speed or power consumption. The base frequency is 3400Mhz but that can be boosted up to 4000Mhz. The 3600 is not the best CPU for gaming but it will get you 1080p gameplay on medium to high settings without any issues.

AMD Ryzen Game Performance Breakdown:

The AMD Ryzen 3600 has a base frequency of 3400MHz and can be overclocked up to 4400MHz with XFR.

The Ryzen 3600 has a high single-core performance of 145.54 GFlops and low multi-core performance of 2387MFlops.

This AMD CPU is best for 1080p medium to high settings on the latest games like Metro Exodus, Battlefield V, PUBG, etc.

You’ll need an NVIDIA RTX 2060 or better graphics card to play games at 4K resolution, as well as any game with Ultra settings enabled

XFX AMD Radeon™ RX 5700 XT

AMD recently released their new Radeon™ RX 5700 XT graphics card series, and we have one in house to review. We will go over the features of this graphics card, what kind of performance it offers with Ryzen 5 3600 for its price point, how well it handles different types of games, and if any graphical downsides exist on 1080p-type resolutions.

What are the features of this graphics card? The Radeon™ RX 5700 XT has a TDP (thermal design power) of 210 watts, with up to 8GB GDDR6-memory that can be clocked at 1800MHz and is used for frame buffer storage as well as video memory.

There are 36 compute units in total, with the RX 5700 XT model sporting 3640 stream processors. The GPU in this graphics card has a base clock of 1730 MHz and boost clocks up to 1980 MHz, which is what you see on most Radeon™ models these days.

The memory speed can be clocked at 1800MHz or 1650MHz depending on whether it is overclocked or not, but this will vary from model to model.

What about its performance? As with most of the Radeon™ models these days, it can be a little hard to quantify what kind of graphics card you need for your build without looking at benchmarks and reviews because they all have different GPU clocks on them that change their performance on different games.

The Radeon™ RX 5700 XT is made for high-end performance, and it does quite well in these benchmarks with Ryzen 5 3600 due to its 3640 stream processors. It can easily handle 1080p resolutions with the right settings on most AAA titles like Battlefield V or Far Cry New Dawn but may need an overclock if you want to game with the highest settings on 1440p or higher-resolution monitors.

We did not experience any graphical downsides when running this graphics card at 1080p resolutions, but we also detected a small amount of coil whine coming from it too that is common to most Radeon™ models as well and does not affect performance in games either way.

In summary, the XFX AMD Radeon™ RX 5700 XT graphics card offers a solid experience at 1080p resolutions with Ryzen 5 3600 for those who do not want to spend too much on their build. It may be worth it if you are looking for higher performance in games when gaming above 1080p resolution or with 1440p monitors and is still more affordable than many of its competitors in the market.
